How Can severe Abdominal Pain Along With Gastritis Be Treated?
My 3 year old grandaughter has complained of a stomach ache x3wks. An X-ray of here colon showed massive amounts of stool in one area. She doesn t have a total blockage as small amounts of stool has passed. She has a distended abdomen and massive gas. Under dr. Supervision she has been given laxatives, probiotics, stool softners, suppositories, and a fleece enema. She has had little results from all this. After an enema today she did expel a chunk of formed green stool. I worry about gangrene or other problems as a result of not expelling this large amounts of stool.

As a first line management you can try antacids like omeprazole or pantoprazole for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist better to consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated.
